Downloaded latest version of the Sparrow SDK.
Ran the Scaffold, no problem.
Installed the RevMov SDK, with this line in the AppDelegate.
[RevMobAds startSessionWithAppID:@"lotsofnumbershere"];
Ran and I get this error.
"Could not initialize audio session: 626d6454
Could not get current OpenAL context
uncaught exception: *** setObjectForKey: object cannot be nil (key: sound.caf)

sorry been away for 24 hours not logged in.
Revmob works just fine for me, so I cannot see an inherent "conflict".
However, 2 things spring to mind:
1) is this just running on simulator? Because the error you are getting is more or less the same thing I mentioned in a previous thread about sounds not working on my simulator, I thought it was something I changed (lol) but maybe it is just a Revmob + Simulator bug? Hmmm, I'll look into this.
2) Have you made the RevMobAds startSessionWithAppID the VERY FIRST line in appDidLaunch:withOptions ?
Making it the first line doesn't make any difference, but the problem only happens with the simulator, things seem fine on the actual device. On the sim I have to comment out the init sound line, as well as obviously not use any sounds. If I don't use RevMob everythings fine on the sim as well.
Hmmm, yeah, well I'm glad I haven't broken my simulator then...
I haven't checked if a non-sparrow app can load sound files whilst using revmob + simulator, neither have I checked if delaying the sound file loading (after app initialization) causes the same problems.
I CAN however confirm that I have revmob + sparrow running on several apps and it seems it always works on the device, just not on simulator...
So don't worry about it 
(although I do wonder *why* it doesn't work on simulator though 
)
Right, just did a test.
Moving the RevMobAds startSessionWithAppID to a *later* stage (eg after app initialization) and outside of the app delegate seems to resolve it.
So there is a conflict during the app initialization.
And only on the simulator.
Thanks, yup that solved it, I just stuck the ad initialisation after [Media initSound]; and it worked fine.
