White textures on device only?

Hi all,

I'm having a weird issue concerning loading .png's, I am loading a 3326x732 image for background scrolling. It works fine on the simulator but renders a completely blank (white) space on the device.

What seems to be the issue? Is it TOO large?

Which device are you using? Some are limited to 2048x2048 pixels:
