iOS 7 Help!

Hi,

I have an app waiting for review. Compiled using Sparrow 2.0 and XCode 4.x.

I just upgraded my iPhone 5 to the iOS 7 GM Seed and downloaded my existing Sparrrow 1.x apps, and they work fine. No status bar issues or anything, they just work.

I downloaded XCode 5 and recompiled the new app (the one waiting for review) using iOS 7.0 base SDK and Sparrow 2.0, and I see the status bar issue and some ugly looking alpha crap that I believe is about to be fixed (looking at the iOS 7 thread).

My question is:

Will the app I compiled using Sparrow 2.0/XCode 4.x work on iOS 7 without issue? (eg like the Sparrow 1.x apps do).

Or should I pull this update asap?

Another way of wording it:

1) because it was compiled using base SDK 6.1 and XCode 4, will it run in "compatibility mode" on iOS 7 devices and therefore won't insert the status bar?

2) is the alpha/opaque issue ONLY affecting apps COMPILED using iOS 7, or will it likely affect ANYTHING Sparrow 2.0 that attempts to RUN on iOS 7?

I'm not sure about (1), but I guess that it will be fine. It would be madness from Apple if they broke all those old games.

As for (2), I'm afraid it will break your game even if it was compiled with the 6.x SDK. 🙁

Please pull/download the latest version -- now everything should work just fine, without any modifications.

I just pulled the latest version and can confirm that it is all working now.

Oh well, I'll just reject the binaries and re-up.

Yeah, sorry -- no way around that! This time, responsibility is solely with me -- the stable 2.0 version contains an error that just happens to be ignored by iOS 5+6.
