I was updating an old Sparrow project to Sparrow 2.0, and of course there are always old hidden settings in the config files and things to work through (because it was built with an old version of Xcode as well as Sparrow).
One thing led to another and I removed Sparrow from the project completely and added the latest version... BUT... in my downloads I had the latest Sparrow MASTER (I had previously been using the latest STABLE) although I didn't realise at the time and I started scratching my head as to why my fonts weren't always displaying, and the thing wouldn't compile.
Here is what I found:
1) The size of the SPTextFields had to be increased (height) to get the (bitmap) fonts to display, even tho with the stable and also Sparrow 1.x they had been displaying just fine. So has anything changed here? It's not a problem, just making sure *someone* is aware of that... is that correct?
2) I had to add GLKit framework to my project, didn't used to have to do that manually with the old scaffold? Is that correct?
3) I'm not sure if this is Sparrow or not, but I cannot run on the simulator when loading sound files and populating the dictionary, SPSound methods return nil, as if it the can't find the .caf files. It DOES however appear to load the atlas, pex and user defaults files just fine. Weird. Is this a known issue? YES IT DOES run on DEVICE just fine, only simulator seems borked with this one.
